Sterling Moss in accident - Broken bones
News Tuesday 08th March 2010 By Geoff Meyer
British Formula One legend Stirling Moss is in hospital with multiple broken bones after falling three floors down a lift shaft, his website has said. The 80-year-old suffered two broken ankles, four broken bones in his feet, skin aberrations and four chipped vertebrae in the accident at his central London residence.
"He is now comfortable and recovering in a London hospital after surgery to both ankles, which have been plated and pinned," the statement said.
The lift door opened at the wrong time and Moss stepped in, falling three floors.
