Button wins in Australia - Others struggle

Reigning Formula One world champion Jenson Button has cruised to his second straight Australian Grand Prix victory as disaster struck again for local favourite Mark Webber, German Legend Michael Schumacher and former F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.

The British McLaren driver outpaced his rivals by 12 seconds, taking the chequered flag ahead of Polish Renault pilot Robert Kubica with Ferrari's Felipe Massa third.

Webber, who started from second spot on the grid, finished a lowly ninth after tangling twice with McLaren's Lewis Hamilton.

On lap 16 the Australian Red Bull driver ran wide and fell to eighth, before climbing back up the order.

Then two laps from the end of the 58-lap race, the pair again clashed, with Webber limping back to the pits.

Cairoli takes Bonver GP of Czech Republic

With the weather making up for yesterday’s rain with a bright sun, the Bonver Grand Prix of Czech Republic turned up to be another hard fought round of the FIM Motocross World Championship handing victories to Tony Cairoli in the MX1 class and Marvin Musquin in the MX2 class, both leading their respective Championship and holding a chance to wrap up the Title in the next round in Brazil.

Desalle quickest in Loket Mud - Czech MXGP

Rockstar Teka Suzuki World MX1 will enter a Grand Prix gate in first place for the fourth time this season after Clement Desalle steered his works RM-Z450WS to the fastest time through wet and muddy conditions at Loket for the 12h round of 15 in the FIM Motocross World Championship.

Leok shines in Lommel sand - Honda men happy

LS Motors Honda rider Tanel Leok put in a hard fought performance to take 2nd position in the second moto of the Grand Prix of Limburg in Lommel, Belgium. However, his ‘flat out’ style cost him in the overall classification as the full throttle approach of the Estonian Express caused the bike to run out of fuel on the last lap of the first moto, despite using the largest fuel tank available.

Cairoli and Roczen win in Lommelland - MXGP

Antonio Cairoli dominated both heats in the Limburg GP obtaining his fifth overall victory of the season and also being the fastest on yesterday’s qualifying race. In MX2 it was Ken Roczen who went out victorious and it has been his so expected first Gran Prix win of the season.

Haslam closes in on Biaggi - World Superbikes

Team Suzuki Alstare rider Leon Haslam endured two tough 18-lap races at the British World Superbike 10th round at Silverstone - racing to third in race one and a fourth in race two - but closed the gap on series leader Max Biaggi. But it was a day of frustration for the young Brit because he felt he could've challenged for the wins if things had gone his way a bit more and that would've narrowed the gap even more.

Webber back in lead in F1 Championship - GP wins

Australian Mark Webber has regained the lead in the Formula One drivers championship with an easy victory in the Hungarian Grand Prix. Webber, who started from second on the grid, dropped back to third early in the race but grabbed the lead when his main rivals pitted and he stayed out on the track.
